Max Zorn

Using tape to create street art is nothing new –  Aakash Nihalani and Buff Diss have been playing with the medium for a long while. Dutch street artist Max Zorn, however, is pushing it closer to high art. Zorn utilises ordinary brown packing tape to form pictures of classic paintings, photos, or pop cultural figures. The translucent tape is cut into pieces, then layered to create rich textures. When the design is illuminated (a street lamp is Zorn’s favourite canvas) the works come to life.
