Reclaiming Brooklyn don’t give you the short end of the stick. Designed by Harris Hine, the Branch Lamp is made from a branch that fell during the tornado that hit New York in the fall of 2010. The lamp is crafted from a system of metal shims, a spun aluminum shade, and lamp cord, which are capable of being custom-built to any size of found wood, as well as installed as outdoor lighting on living trees. Reclaiming Brooklyn is a collaboration between designers Harris Hine and Emily Vislocky. Using materials found in the New York area, they combine natural and designed elements to create one-of-a-kind furniture.
