Biegert & Funk’s “Qlocktwo”

27 May

I love slick and minimalist design and this is both. Biegert & Funk, the German-based multidisciplinary design studio, has come up with the Qlocktwo – a clock that tells the time in words. A matrix with symmetrically arranged characters glows, thanks to a built-in brightness sensor, to form words that describe time in five minute intervals. Minutes are shown via illuminated dots in the corner. It comes in satin stainless steel or polished synthetic glass. Seriously, I want to lick this thing. Oh yeah, and by the way, if you don’t have a wall to hang it on, you can download the Qlocktwo for your iPhone here. Your pocket will thank you for it.
