I love listening to the sound of rain. And, thanks to the innovative Rain Drum, I’ll probably like doing it a whole lot more. Well, at least until I get bored of it. Designer, Dong Min Park has come up with the concept of the Rain Drum. The Rain Drum features mounted sound inputs on the exterior of an umbrella top that make different drum noises when raindrops fall on it. The shade of the umbrella contains five wax-cloth made coverings with varying elasticities to create a range of tones and frequencies, depending on the size and speed of the falling rain drop. Rain Drum: you may look like a douche, but you’ll sound like Rick Allen.
