You may think that the craft of quilting is the domain of retirement homes – but artist Luke Haynes is challenging that assumption. Subverting the traditional quilting form by integrating modern concepts (by working from photographs), Haynes transforms the comfortably familiar into something more edgy. As his website says, “Haynes disassembles, digests, and reconstructs images as progressive cloth murals”. Me likey.
