Brisbane-based artist Courtney Brims has just launched her new website. Self-taught, Brims’ work is inspired by fairytales, Victorian illustration, dreams, the Brothers Grimm and Tim Burton. Looking at her work reminds me of sitting on my mum’s knee as a kid as she turned the pages in storybooks: a safe place, but a place of mystery.
