Here’s some good news for those of us that like our graff but don’t like getting our hands dirty. As part of his final thesis, Martin Lihs, a Media Art and Design student at Bauhaus-University in Weimar, Germany, is developing a virtual spraycan controller for the Ninetendo Wii. The can-style casing contains a dismembered Wiimote coupled to a nozzle button. The Wiispray is said to simulate real aerosol graff characteristics and can be used to manipulate an on-screen virtual spraycan, with a range of different paints and colour options.
There’s no news on when (or if) it will be brought to market – although Martin is said to be planning collaborative online spraying via the website.
